Sharon Stemley, DVM
Dr. Sharon Stemley grew up in New Jersey and knew she wanted to be a veterinarian by age four. She has worked in the veterinary industry since she was a teenager. First as a receptionist, kennel assistant, technician, and then as a doctor.
She attended Purdue University for her undergraduate degree, attended New York University for her graduate degree then Tuskegee University for her Veterinary degree.
Upon graduation, Dr. Stemley completed an internship at the prestigious Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC. After working for many years in New Jersey, she moved to Maryland and has slowly acquired a taste for crabs, and enjoys cheering on the local sports teams.
Dr. Stemley’s medical interests include soft-tissue surgery, endocrinology, and emergency medicine. During her free time, she enjoys photography, horseback riding, and spending time with her husband, daughter, son, and their many pets (chickens, cats, and dogs.)
